Richmond Tea Rooms

Richmond Tea Rooms

A logo design for Richmond Tea Rooms, an atmospheric ‘Alice In Wonderland’-inspired afternoon tea venue in the Gay Village, Manchester, UK.

The design required a highly stylised feel and look to fit in with the tea rooms’ concept. The logo reflects the elaborate and highly ornamental typographic designs of the mid-19th century Victorian era, when the Alice in Wonderland books was written and illustrated. An optional embellishment motif was added to complete the vintage look.

The website states: “From our enchanted forest area where you can dine under the twinkling lights in a woodland themed room, to the orangery which is the most warming garden even on the rainiest of Manchester days. We decided to think out the box and create a different and unique space that still kept a heavy influence from Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ the restaurant prides itself on being space of comfort for all people to enjoy from afternoon tea, light meals, drinks, or for function hire.”
